Corpus Christi - GROW Local South Texas is excited to announce that, as part of “National Farmers’ Market Week,” this Wednesday’sDowntown Farmers’ Market is pulling out all the stops.

Our popular ‘Veggie Vouchers’ will be at the Market with the first 100 children in attendance (ages 3-12) receiving $5 Veggie Vouchers to spend on fresh, local produce thanks to the generosity of NEC Co-op Energy. Children may treat the vouchers as cash to purchase any fresh fruits or vegetables.

In addition to this week’s special Veggie Vouchers, visitors will find all of the amenities of a typical Downtown Farmers’ Market and Vendor Awards. We will be letting our customer choose their MVP Market Vendor, friendliest Market Vendor and the grocery item I can’t live without awards.

“As an organization with a large mission to accomplish, we have a lot of work to do from all angles including helping to applaud the work all local community members are providing to help us be named on many Texas lists as a Top 5 Farmers Market in Texas.” said GROW Local South Texas Executive Director, Aislynn Campbell.

This is the third year that GROW Local South Texas has spearheaded
involvement in National Farmers’ Market Week, a program executed by the
United States Department of Agriculture.
