Corpus Christi mayoral candidate Joe McComb is facing a run-off after Tuesday night’s poll numbers came in. He will face Michael Hall in the challenge for his seat. McComb, who has held the mayoral seat since 2016, faces a tough challenger in Hall.
Corpus voters also voted overwhelmingly in favor of all six bonds that were proposed. These bonds will fund projects throughout the city and include street improvements, library funding and monies for police and fire station improvements.
In order to fund these bonds, residents will see a two cent property tax increase. Voters, apparently deemed this increase feasible on Tuesday night. Funding all six bonds will cost approximately $96 million dollars.
Barbara Canales also won the Nueces County Judge race over Mike Pusley.
