Tuloso-Midway High School’s One Act Play won the Area competition this past weekend with straight ones (the highest rank that can be received) and with many individual awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, All Star, Honorable Mention Actor and Outstanding Technician.

TMHS will perform next on April 16 at the UIL Regional competition. The contest will be held at Southwest High School in San Antonio and the cast and crew will be performing a show entitled ‘Lend Me a Tenor’. The show is comedy involving mistaken identity, according to Theater Arts teacher Wendy Pratt. To qualify for the State competition, TM will have to come in as one of the top two schools at the Region competition.

Pratt has led TM to the State One Act Play level three out of the past four years, and the Warriors were state champions last year. Pratt has 17 students on her cast and crew.

The school will compete at 11:45 a.m. on April 16.
