KINGSVILLE - Tuesday afternoon, Kingsville police charged two men with the capital murder of two Alice brothers that occurred at an apartment complex on the 1700 block of North First Street.
Kingsville police took 30-year-old David Isassi and 18-year-old Iziah Lamar Lopez into custody on some outstanding warrants unrelated to the shooting.
According to KPD Commander Bradley Lile, Isassi and Lopez charged with captial murder after they were interviewed on the unrelated charges.
Isassi and Lopez allegedly shot 41-year-old Adan Villarreal and 37-year-old Jose Villarreal of Alice Monday night.
Police were called to the Utopian Apartments located on the 1700 block of North First Street around 8:30 p.m. where they found the brothers with several gun shot wounds.
The men were taken to the area hospital were they died from their injuries.
Police continue to investigate the double homicide and have not released a motive for the murders.
Isassi and Lopez are in custody of the Kleberg County jail.
Isassi's has a bond of $1 million bond for the capital murder charge. He was charged with his outstanding warrants which are aggravated assault with a deadly weapon which has no bond and failure to identify as a fugitive with a $200.
Lopez's also has a $1 million bond of the capital murder charge. He has a burglary of a habitation charge with no bond, two city warrants with $172 bond per charge and three city warrants with $277 bond per charge.
