The Grace United Methodist Church in Calallen is currently taking applications to provide free house repairs to the Nueces County community; for their Sea City Work Camp this summer.

The work camp is a service the church started in 1993 that utilizes high school youth to repair low income housing and help people in need. “The scope of work will mainly include roofing and painting,” said Sea City Work Camp Executive Board member Kathy Rios. “We like to give back to the community and provide services for the elderly on a fixed income or families in need,” she said.

The service will apply for current homeowners that are up to date on their taxes and will not apply for mobile homes. The work will be performed from June 7-12, 2020 and will cost nothing -the service is absolutely free.
