The Ague Dulce Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to hire the districts lone finalist for Superintendent during a special board meeting on Tuesday, Feb 25.

Richard Wright is currently serving as Principal at Falfurrias High School. He graduated from The University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics, and continued his education at The University of Houston-Victoria for a Master's Degree in Education Administration and Supervision.

His teaching experience started at Lamar CISD in Richmond at both B.F. Terry High School and Crockett Middle School. He advanced as Principal at Patti Welder in Victoria in 2012, while previously holding administrative positions at Edna High School as both an Assistant Principal and Principal, and at Louise Secondary School as Principal.

Wright will start his role as ADISD Superintendent on March 9.
