The City of Robstown confirmed on Wednesday, March 25 the first Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) resident.


"We can expect the trend to get a little worse before it gets better and we are on the forefront of it, " said Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales.


As of Thursday afternoon Nueces County has 16 positive COVID-19 cases.


The most recent COVID- 19 patient from Robstown, is a female between the ages of 70 to 80 years old. Records state she has been hospitalized in a local hospital.


All transmission possibilities are being investigated at this time.


Judge Canales issued the 'Stay at Home' order on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The order will be in effect March 26 until April 8.
