A 25-year old Robstown woman was arrested for possession of marijuana last week, following a six-month investigation by the Robstown Police Department.

The Robstown Police Department executed a search and arrest warrant at a home in the 100 block of West Avenue J shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

After searching the home for more than two hours, officers seized 5.6 grams of marijuana and several items believed to be drug paraphernalia from the location.

Investigators said Tuesday Galvan had been a person of interest for more than six months, and that business owners and neighbors in the area had called to report unusually high traffic and suspicious behavior at the home.

During the search of the home, officers also reportedly located a stolen video projector and a stolen laptop.

Those items were collected from the scene, but Galvan has not been charged in connection with her possession of those items.

Galvan's three-year old daughter, who lived at the residence with her, was placed in the custody of family members following Galvan's arrest.

Galvan was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and was transported to the Nueces County Jail. She was released Jan. 14 on $500 bond, according to jail records.
