Two unidentified young people broke into Tuloso-Midway High School early Monday morning, causing minor damage and breaking some windows.
Interim Superintendent Sue Nelson said the youths were captured on the school's surveillance video entering into the cafeteria through the back entrance by breaking the glass.
High school principal Ann Bartosh said the youths had tried to gain entry by breaking a window on the door near the athletic department, but it was chained shut.
After breaking into the building through the cafeteria, the youths proceeded to vandalize the assistant food director's office, Nelson said, knocking over equipment and breaking various items, including the office door.
The damage was cleaned up by the start of school on Monday. A video camera belonging to basketball coach Bobby Craig was also stolen, Nelson said.
The video has been turned over to the Corpus Christi Police Department for further investigation, she added.
