The 2010 National 4-H Week has come to an end. It was a fun filled week which included Ag Awareness Oct. 5 and 6 along with our One Day project which was held Oct. 9 at the RMB Fairgrounds.

Nueces County 4-H Council would like to thank everyone who came out to support our two local community service projects "Loaves and Fishes" along with "Teen Foster Kids."

We had 10 4-H clubs participate: Nueces County 4-H Council, Nueces County 4-H Ambassadors, Annaville 4-H, Bluntzer 4-H, Cloverleaf 4-H, Nueces County 4-H Trap and Skeet, River Hills 4-H, Running JM, Travelin' 4-H, and Tuloso-Midway 4-H.

A total of 111 4-Hers and parents were in attendance. We collected 164 pounds of food and a several backpacks along with school supplies (spiral notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers and glue sticks).

Texas-Sized Ribbons were given to the following:

Best Girl Costume: Jackie McClendon dressed as Raggedy Ann (Cloverleaf 4-H) Best Boy Costume: Dalton Roe dressed as a 4-H Clover (Annaville 4-H) Best Car: Cloverleaf 4-H (Teletubbie Power) Best Truck: Running JM (Trick or Treat Graveyard and Pumpkins)
