Looking for activities for the children home from school for the summer? Are the kids already bored? Why not try Camp Conner, a program for children from six to 12 years old held at the John E. Conner Museum on the Texas A&M University-Kingsville campus.

Camp Conner will begin the week of Tuesday, June 9, and will be held through the week of Tuesday, July 21, with the exception of the week of Tuesday, June 30, through Friday, July 3. Weekly topics include "Creations for Summer Time Fun"-the week of June 9; "Waterways: Playtime and Memories"-the week of June 16; "Liberty Week: Fourth of July Crafts"-week of June 23; "Recycle Week"-week of July 7; "Science Week"-week of July 14; and "All Things that Move"-week of July 21.

Six- and seven-years olds have two opportunities to attend, Tuesdays or Fridays. The lesson is the same both days. Wednesdays is for eight- and nine-year olds and Thursday 10- to 12-year olds attend Camp Conner. The time for all days is 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Camp Conner is $10 per session and the fees must be paid in advance to insure placement in the class. Parents or guardians must complete all the required forms including the camp registration form, the university waiver and an indemnification and medical treatment authorization form. Completed forms may be dropped at the museum at 905 W. Santa Gertrudis or mailed to John E. Conner Museum, 700 University Blvd, MSC 134, Kingsville, TX 78363. The registration deadline is one day prior to each camp

Each Camp Conner session will require a minimum of five students with a maximum of 12. The museum will provide a 15-minute snack break.
