Elida F. Hunt, 89, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on July 26, 1926 in Kenedy, Texas to Cosme Fernandez, Sr. and Josefina Gonzalez Fernandez. Elida was a retired cafeteria manager for the Robstown Independent School District, a Catholic and a longtime resident of Robstown. She was a very loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Elida goes home to reunite with her husband, Raymond Claude Hunt, her parents, brothers and sisters whom preceded her in death.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Robert “Bobby” (Lydia) Hunt and Ray Allen (Hilma) Hunt. She was also blessed and adored by her four grandchildren, Michael Robert (Melissa) Hunt, Melissa D. Robles, Roxana Hunt (Thomas) Sandoval, Jason Ray (Regina) Hunt, nine great-grandchildren, John Robles, Jr., Nathaniel Raymond Robles, Christian Michael Hunt, Elia Marisel Sandoval, Annalise Merced Sandoval, Isel Marlise Sandoval, Ayden Kane Hunt, Zoe Lynn Hunt, Ethan Ray Hunt and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The Hunt family would like to extend a special Thanks to Elida’s private nurse, Lupita Zapata for all of her unconditional love, care and attention given to Elida and the Hunt family during their time of need.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
