Maria D. Saenz, 85, went to be with out Heavenly Father on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.
She was born on Aug. 20, 1924 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Robstown.
She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
She goes home to the Lord to reunite with her husband, Domingo Saenz; her parents; her three sisters, Consuelo Garcia, Teresa Castellano and Francisca Castellano; and her brother, Arturo Castellano, who preceded her in death.
The family she leaves to cherish her memories are her two sons, Joe E. (Katy) Saenz Sr. of Robstown and Martin (Alicia) Saenz of Arlington; her two daughters, Bernarda Delgado of Corpus Christi and Maria Saenz of Robstown; and her brother, Lupe Garcia, of Mexico.
She will be missed by her 10 grandchildren, Diana and Delma Alejandro, Leticia Delgado, Patricia, Joe E. (Nina) Jr., Jonathan Saenz, Sandra, Rachel, Melissa and 11 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown and Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown.
Interment followed at St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Connie Gayle Young Jiminez, 59, of Corpus Christi passed away Nov. 18, 2009 in a Corpus Christi hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was born April 29, 1950 in Corpus Christi to Lawrence and Barbara Young. She was a member of the Arlington Heights Church of Christ. She graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School then attended Del Mar College where she obtained her nursing education. She was employed for several years at Dr. Leonilo Garcia's office of pediatrics.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence W. Young; sister, Beverly Diane Garcia; daughter, Amanda June Reyes.She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Jiminez; mother, Barbara Young (George E.) Houmes; father-in-law, B. J. Jiminez; foster sister; Londa McGuire; grandsons, Francisco R. Martinez, Fabian Reyes; brother-in-law, Roy (Irma) Jiminez; aunt, Nan (A.C.) Kuse; uncle, Cecil (Darline) Young; two step-brothers; one step-sister; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Cherie Hopkins officiating.
Interment was in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
