Josefina "Fina" Ysasi Garcia, 102, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008.
She was born Aug. 19, 1906 in Bluntzer to Lauro Ysasi Sr. and Aurelia Garcia Ysasi. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hilario Garcia Jr.; her brothers, Jose "Pepe" Ysasi, Lauro Ysasi Jr., Pedro Ysasi, Natividad Ysasi and Samuel Ysasi; her children, Alfonso and Alonzo Garcia (twins), Angelica Garcia and Arcelia Garcia.
Survivors include her children, Aurelia (Jesus) Cisneros of Robstown, Arturo (Julia) Garcia of Orange Grove, Alfredo (Juanita) Garcia and Rolando Garcia, both of Sandia; her son-in-law, Cristobal (the late Aurora) Garza of Robstown; five sisters, Maria Y. Pena of Robstown, Amelia Herrera of Fontana, Calif., Elida Salas, Beatrice Ysasi, both of Corpus Christi, and Rachel Riojas of Euless; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown.
