Francisco "Frank" Leal Cavazos was born on July 26, 1955 and lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 at his home in Driscoll. He worked as an electrician foreman for Hoechst Celanese (Clarkwood) where he retired after 27 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Sanchez Cavazos; and his brother, Guadalupe Leal Cavazos.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cavazos; two daughters, Monica (Anthony) Calderon and Anna Lisa Cavazos; two sons, Francisco "Frankie" (Candace) Cavazos Jr. and Tommy Cavazos; his mother, Eva Leal Cavazos; six brothers, five sisters, four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14 and 15, in the Robstown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial followed at De La Luz Cemetery in Driscoll.
