Andrew Scott Collins, 82, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Scott was born Oct. 20, 1927. Scott was a graduate of Corpus Christi High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Suntide Refining in Corpus Christi and went on to enjoy ranching and golfing. He was a charter member and past Grand Master of Sunset Lodge No. 1388. He was a recipient of the 50-year Master Mason certificate June 30, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Inez Collins; one sister, Catherine Snyder; also Patsy Collins Scott and Evelyn Berry Collins.

Survivors include Betty Estes Collins; two daughters, Susan Collins McCain (John) of Mathis, Texas, and Ginger Collins of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Larry Collins (Rhea) of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, James Collins of San Antonio, Texas, and Wayne Collins (Lee) of Krum, Texas; one brother-in-law, Charles Snyder of Waco, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at Cage-Mills Chapel with interment following at Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Trace Blair, Steve Mosley, Ryan Burch, Austin Adami, Thomas Fallon and Jason Atkinson.
