Lydia T. Villarreal, 89, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008.
She was born March 13, 1919 in Banquete to Pedro Gonzalez Trevino and Vicenta Garcia Trevino. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Robstown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Antonio G. Villarreal; and her sisters, Olivia T. Salinas, Maria T. Benavides and Emma T. Ybarra.
Survivors are her five sons, Antonio (Margarita) Villarreal, Manuel (Margarita) Villarreal, Armando (Elvira) Villarreal, Juan (Maria Elena) Villarreal and Rogelio (Emilia) Villarreal; her six daughters, Teresa (Rumaldo) Juarez, Ester V. Botello, Vilma V. Garza, Vicenta (Arnulfo) Martinez, Patricia (Gerhard) Zacharias and Llillian Fanning; her stepdaughter, Josie (Tom) Morris; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment followed at Robstown Memorial Park.
