The Tuloso Midway Cherokees are state bound.

The Cherokees will play the Amarillo Sandies at 3 p.m. Friday in the Class 5A state semifinals.  Lovejoy and Cedar Park will play at 1 p.m.  The winners of these games will play each other in the state 5A finals at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Cherokees are making school history by playing in the state tournament. The Cherokees earned the program’s first state tournament berth with a three-set sweep of Seguin in the Region IV-5A tournament final on Saturday at the Dugan Wellness Center.

Tuloso-Midway is 40-8 for the season.
 
The games are being played at the Garland ISD Curtis Culwell Center at 4999 Naaman Forest Blvd. in Garland.

All general admission tickets may be purchased two hours prior to the first match, and doors will open an hour prior. Adult tickets will be $12 and student tickets $7. Two-day and all-tournament passes will also be available. There will be no advance ticket sales.
