Pitcher Max Mesa was more than enough to beat the Orange Grove Bulldogs 10-0 Saturday.
He gave up only three hits through the five-inning game and improved his record to 2-1.
The Bulldogs fell to 10-14 for the season and 2-7 in District 31-3A.
Robstown remained perfect in district play at 10-0 and on top of the 31-3A standings. The Cotton Pickers are 18-6 for the year.
Mike Velasquez led Robstown at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Trey Leal and Randy Flores were 2-for-4. Leal had an RBI.
The Cotton Pickers scored one in the first and three in the second.
They blew the game open in the top of the fifth by scoring six.
Richard Brown had a double for the Bulldogs. Roy Aguilar and Jackson
McBride each had hits. Jesse Salas was the losing pitcher for the Bulldogs. He struck out three, but gave up 10 hits.
