With a 1-1 score in the second inning Friday, Robstown's Matt Vasquez brought in the go-ahead run with an RBI single which he failed to stretch into a double. Orange Grove's Jackson McBride walked the next batter who advanced to second with a pass ball. Robstown's Trey Leal and Randy Flores continued the scoring with back to back RBI singles, making the score 4-1. Flores eventually scored on an error, giving Robstown a 5-1 lead after two.

Robstown didn't look back, tacking on two more runs in the fourth and four more runs to finish out, leading to an 11-1 final.

Robstown junior Mike Velasquez pitched well all game, earning the "W" after allowing only one earned run. Orange Grove now has a 0-2 record after losses to Sinton and Robstown. They took on Falfurrias Tuesday. Robstown, now 2-0 in district play, hosts its next home game against Sinton on Friday after traveling to Aransas-Pass Tuesday. Tuesday's results were not available as of press time.
