Porn star’s second appearance in Columbus took on a whole new meaning following her arrest at Sirens strip club.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Porn star turned media fixture Stormy Daniels did not let an early Thursday morning arrest by the Columbus Police Department stop her from performing at a packed nightclub just hours after being released.
Her second appearance in Columbus took on a whole new meaning following her arrest at Sirens strip club, north of the city. Daniels, along with two other local dancers, was arrested for allegedly touching three undercover detectives, though the charges against Daniels were dropped Thursday afternoon.
Daniels moved the show from Sirens to Vanity Gentlemen’s club on Bethel Road and treated her fans — who waited more than an hour past her scheduled start time of 11 p.m. — to a four-song, 15-minute performance. Coming on stage in a bedazzled, Wonder Woman-style red, white and blue get-up with “American Woman” by The Guess Who, Daniels is clearly enjoying her prolonged moment in the spotlight.
Even with Columbus being the first city where Daniels was arrested, the event Thursday took place without any incident, and Daniels was hands-off the entire night.
Columbus police said Daniels forced the faces of several customers into her chest and “smacked” the sides of their heads with her breasts during her performance late Wednesday night. She also touched the breasts of several female customers, they said. None of that took place Thursday night. A host warned several times beforehand there would be “absolutely no touching.”
Under an Ohio law passed in 2007, an employee who regularly appears nude or seminude at a sexually oriented business is prohibited from touching patrons, except for family members.
But because Daniels does not regularly appear at the club, the charges were dismissed, according to court documents.
Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said he wants an investigation into the motives of the arrests.
Daniels has been on her “Make America Horny Again” tour zig-zagging the country to perform at dozens of strip clubs. Her celebrity status grew considerably since she said she slept with President Donald Trump in 2006, a year after Trump married his current wife, Melania. Trump has denied her claim, but Daniels is suing Trump and his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, and seeking to invalidate a nondisclosure agreement that she signed days before the 2016 presidential election.
There was no visible police presence at Daniels’ Thursday night event.
The popular porn star ended her brief performance with “American Girl” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and then she was on her way, leaving Columbus with a whole lot more buzz than when she arrived.
